Accessible Microsoft Powerpoint Documents

Learn the basics of creating accessible Powerpoint presentations, using a pre-formatted template and some tools built right into the application.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Locate the BRCOE accessible PowerPoint template

  • Review the Outline View

  • Choose Layout for specific needs

  • Arrange reading order

  • Add Alternative Text

  • Enter Meta Data

  • Run Accessibility Check

  • Export to Adobe Acrobat

NOTE LOCATION: Wheeler Hall, Room 210

Computers will be provided for this workshop. Laptop not necessary.

Series description

Digital Learning Services is excited to offer workshops focused on creating accessible documents.  These workshops provide opportunities for hands-on participation, covering common software (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Acrobat), specialized software for remediation (Ally in bCourses) as well as best practices for inclusive design. 

Participants will leave each workshop with a list of resources to assist them in future remediation efforts.
