Research IT Reading Group: Reflecting on VR Month

May 31, 2018, 12:00pm
Reflecting on VR Month: Please join us to talk about virtual reality, and in particular the state of the art at UC Berkeley. In April, Berkeley Arts + Design helped organize a series of workshops, lectures and demos as part of the first VR Month on campus. This Research IT Reading Group will be an opportunity for community conversation about VR at Berkeley. Attendees will be asked to discuss the following questions, even if they did not attend any of the VR Month events: • What was the most memorable talk or demo you saw (or have seen)? • What was your impression about VR month as a whole? • What kinds of experiments or efforts have you been working on in this area and why? • If we held VR month in a year, what might it look like? What would you like it to look like? For readings, please read the recap of one of the events, held in the AIS: Teaching With and About VR/AR (Photos and Recap of the AIS event on April 19, 2018): https://ais.berkeley.edu/news/teaching-and-about-vrar-photos-and-recap
