Data Science Education Program

The Data Science Education Program is part of the new Division of Data Sciences at Berkeley. The program helps undergraduates from all fields to engage capably and critically with data and be better prepared for a data-rich world. The comprehensive curriculum includes a path-breaking foundational course, a constellation of innovative connector courses that allow students to explore real-world issues through their interests, and more intermediate and advanced courses for learning complex concepts and approaches.

ICPSR Regional Meeting in Northern California

Data Science Pedagogy for Graduate Students

In this one-day workshop, graduate students will learn about the pedagogy of UC Berkeley's Data Science Education Program, an exciting area of curricular innovation. This workshop will cover some of the computational and statistical concepts that students learn in the Foundations of Data Science class (Data 8) and Principles and Techniques of Data Science (Data 100), as well as an overview of the connector courses and modules.

Parallel Processing and Distributed Data Structures Using the Dask Package for Python
