Accessible Course Content Workshops

Digital Learning Services is excited to offer workshops focused on creating accessible documents.  These workshops provide opportunities for hands-on participation, covering common software (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Acrobat), specialized software for remediation (Ally in bCourses) as well as best practices for inclusive design. 

Participants will leave each workshop with a list of resources to assist them in future remediation efforts. 

Assessing Student Learning in Remote Courses Workshop Series

The Center for Teaching and Learning (link is external)will be hosting three workshops designed to unpack the benefits, challenges, and nuances of assessing student learning in remote courses. The series begins with an introduction to formative assessments where participants will explore evidence-based strategies for assessing student learning over time and in a low-stakes environment.

Join Digital Learning Services and Educational Technology Services for an interactive session that explores how Zoom can be used to enhance instruction and online collaboration.

Gradescope For Instructors

In this workhop, Digital Learning Services will provide an overview of how UC Berkeley instructors use Gradescope. These workshops will offer guidance on how to deliver assessments remotely and outline various assessment options to meet your immediate needs. We will also cover the grading and rubric-building workflow on Gradescope and walk attendees through both the instructor and student interface for creating and submitting assignments and viewing feedback.

Teaching Dialogues

Teaching Dialogues are a regular series of campus-wide discussions on pressing topics related to teaching and learning, hosted by the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Academic Senate's Committee on Teaching.
