Parallel Computing with MATLAB and Scaling to the Savio Cluster

A hands-on workshop for more experienced MATLAB users seeking to reduce workflow cycle and solve computationally and data-intensive problems faster by scaling to the Savio Cluster. The agenda will include:

  • 5-minute introduction by Berkeley Research Computing staff
  • 20-minute overview of parallel computing with MATLAB
  • 90-minute hands-on, self-paced workshop for building parallel MATLAB applications¬†
  • 30-minute Q&A session of workshop
  • 45-minute hands-on session of submitting job to Savio Cluster
