ICPSR Regional Meeting in Northern California

The Inter-university Consortium of Political and Social Science Research (ICPSR) is hosting a Northern California meeting of ICPSR members and interested researchers, co-hosted by the Libary and the D-Lab. ICPSR staff members Linda Detterman (Membership & Communications Director), Lynette Hoelter (Director of Instructional Resources) and Anna Shelton (Membership Experience Manager) invite you to join us on Thursday, October 24, 2019 for a regional meeting of Northern California institutions. We’ll provide workshops on finding and using data for research, using data for teaching, how to promote ICPSR data and resources across campus, and more.

Schedule of Events: ICPSR Regional Meeting in Northern California

  • 10 a.m. (start time): Welcome and Coffee
  • 10:30 a.m.: Morning workshops including an introduction to ICPSR, finding data for your research project/paper and finding data & other related data-teaching resources for your class
  • 12:00 p.m.: Lunch presentation (lunch will be served)
  • 1:00 p.m.: Afternoon workshops including research methods & data-related training opportunities, depositing data with ICPSR, and restricted-use data
  • 2:30 p.m.: Promoting ICPSR data and resources to students and faculty
  • 3:15 p.m.: Walking tour of Library and D-Lab
  • 4:00 p.m.: Informal networking hour
