ARVR: Artivive Workshop for Faculty

November 7, 2019, 1:30pm to 3:30pm
Intended audience:
Academic Support Staff, Faculty, Graduate Students, Instructors, Invited participants only

The Arts + Design Initiative has purchased a campus license for the ARVR app Artivive, that was recently launched at SkyDeck, for faculty to use on their own projects or on projects with their class/students. In this workshop, faculty will be trained on how to use this easy-to-use technology and you will learn from professionals and graduate students who incorporate this into their work. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created their first ARVR experience.

Artivive is a new technology that allows you to create new dimensions of art by linking classical with digital art. The digital layer opens the doors to a whole new world of possibilities. Artivive allows for you to provide a new experience and dimension to the user/audience by using a smartphone app.

NOTE: This is a hands-on workshop that requires use of a downloadable mobile app. Please bring a smartphone.
